“If I must die,
you must live
to tell my story
to sell my things
to buy a piece of cloth
and some strings,
(make it white with a long tail)
so that a child, somewhere in Gaza
while looking heaven in the eye
awaiting his dad who left in a blaze—
and bid no one farewell
not even to his flesh
not even to himself—
sees the kite, my kite you made, flying up above
and thinks for a moment an angel is there
bringing back love
If I must die
let it bring hope
let it be a tale”

October 7 2023 - the chains around Gaza break free
Following indiscriminate bombings from Israel in Gaza killing scores of men, women, and children, six year old Palestinian Wadea Al-Fayoume was murdered in his home in Chicago and his mother was severely wounded by their landlord. It was concluded as a hate crime because of his identity as a Palestinian. Even outside Palestine, Palestinians faced hate and violence against them. - Washington Square Park, 10/17/2023

A ceasefire came into effect on January 19th, 2025. After committing a genocide killing more than 200,000 people, people slowly returned to their homes, only to find their neighborhoods in rubble, but the will and determination to rebuild their homes is strong. After more than a year of bloodshed, Israel accomplished none of its goals.
The movement here in the belly of the beast shows that no matter how many of us you take out, you can’t destroy the hope and resilience of the collective people.
Thank you to WOL, Healthcare Workers for Palestine, and PYM for helping bring the fight here.
Please consider donating to verified charities to help with rebuilding efforts.
The struggle for liberation continues and I will be there to document it till we are all free, إن شاء اللّه
